ALBA Berlin extended homegrown guard Malte Delow for four more seasons. The 20-year-old has been with the junior ALBA team since 2012. Next season will be his third year with the senior team.
“I am happy that I was able to sign my first professional contract with ALBA and that I can continue to play in my hometown,” Delow said. “The decision to stay at ALBA was very easy for me: Here I find an optimal sporting environment in which to develop myself at the highest level over the next few years. It's also great fun to be part of the culture that ALBA has created here. I can hardly wait to play in front of many fans again in the Mercedes-Benz Arena.”
The 1.94-meter guard averaged 1.6 points over 8 minutes in 23 EuroLeague games last season. Meanwhile, in the German Basketball Bundesliga, the local talent accumulated 3.4 points and 1.9 rebounds over 11.7 minutes.
