Newly promoted UNICS Kazan agreed to a two-year (1+1) contract with Vyacheslav Zaytsev. 31-year-old Russian has been a member of the Khimki Moscow Region since 2016.
Last season Zaytsev appeared in all 34 EuroLeague games, averaging almost 20 minutes per contest. He registered 5.1 PPG, 2.4 RPG, 2.4 APG, and 1.3 SPG for the last-place finishing Khimki (4-30).
UNICS Kazan reached the EuroCup finals last season, losing to AS Monaco in two games but still earning the promotion to the top division in Europe.
