Buducnost VOLI Podgorica added size and athleticism to its frontcourt by signing power forward Jacob Wiley, the club announced on Monday.
Wiley (26, 2.02) split time between Herbalife Gran Canaria and Casademont Zaragoza last season. Wiley made his EuroCup debut with Gran Canaria last season, averaging 10.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in seven regular-season appearances.
Later in the season with Zaragoza, he posted 13.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in the Basketball Champions League, while finishing the Spanish League with 10.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 25 appearances.
Prior to last season, Wiley spent two seasons in the EuroLeague with Gran Canaria and Panathinaikos OPAP Athens and posted 6.4 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
After going undrafted in the 2017 NBA draft, Wiley signed a two-way contract with the Brooklyn Nets. He appeared in five games with Brooklyn, averaging 0.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.4 assists in 6.7 minutes per game.
