LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne have announced the hiring of Michel Veyronnet, who will become the team's new Sporting Director. He will replace Francois Lamy, who had the job for two years.

Veyronnet, 63, has worked as a coach before. He was the brains behind ALM Evreux from 1993 to 1995 and SPO Rouen from 1996 to 2012. Veyronnet has also been a part of the French National Team coaching staff.

The president of ASVEL, Tony Parker, was ecstatic about the hiring of Veyronnet: "I am very happy that Michel joined the project that we are building here. I know the desire to succeed, which has always been part of him. I have known Michel for more than 25 years, and his ability to listen and adapt is essential in this pivotal role."
