Bamberg sign big man Derek Cooke Jr

Basketball Champions League team Brose Bamberg signed a one-year contract with American power forward Derek Cooke Jr. The former Wyoming alum spent this past season with VTB League team Tsmoki-Minsk, where he averaged 7.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.

In the 2019-2020 season Cooke played for Pallacanestro Trieste in Italy, averaging 5.5 points and 6 rebounds per game. 

Brose Bamberg has recently added former Zalgiris Kaunas center Martinas Geben. The German team will have to go through a Qualifying tournament in order to advance to the BCL. Their qualification Group C will take place in Tallinn, Estonia on September 13-17.
