JaVale McGee is a three-time NBA champion, having won consecutive titles with the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018 before winning his third one with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.
His call-up to Team USA ahead of the Tokyo Olympics came at the last minute, but the 33-year-old center responded and joined the squad that's just qualified for the quarter-finals. USA tore down the Czech Republic 119-84 in their third group game and advanced to the next phase, where they will be playing a team seeded 2nd or 3rd. The Denver Nuggets big man got to score 10 points in garbage time, that is in just 4:12 of action.
"Three rings. Have a chance for a gold medal here. Don't know how much more of a resume you need," the veteran center said after the game.
