Free-agent center Enes Kanter has agreed on a one-year deal to return to the Boston Celtics, The Athletic reported Wednesday.

Financial terms were not reported. Kanter seemingly confirmed the move, posting #BleedGreen to his Twitter account with a photo of him in a Celtics uniform.

Kanter (29, 2.08) played for the Celtics in 2019-20 before opting to play in Portland last season. Kanter tied for the NBA lead with 72 games played in 2020-21. He averaged 11.2 points and 11.0 rebounds in playing 24.4 minutes per game with the Trail Blazers last season.
