The Spanish national team player agreed to a deal, which will have him leave the Royal club and transfer to the NBA, according to Marca. 19-year-old forward, who was drafted 23rd overall in last month's NBA Draft will continue his career with the Houston Rockets.
Although, Usman Garuba's transition to the NBA will cost him around €2.3 million of his own money. According to BasketNews sources, this year's buyout was set at €3M, but every other season spent in Europe would have increased his buyout by an additional €1M. Thus, making his early move a more prudent financial decision.
His rookie contract with the Rockets guarantees him $1,961,100 in his first year and $2,059,360 in his second year, a total of just over $4M.
