Garuba makes his Summer League debut

Usman Garuba, 23rd pick in this year's NBA Draft, made his Summer League debut last night, as his Houston Rockets lost against Toronto Raptors 76-92.

Garuba missed the first two Summer League games but played 12:26 in the third match and went scoreless, missing all four field goals. He also had 6 rebounds and one steal.

Houston's Alperen Sengun played 24:13 and scored 9 points on 3 of 10 shooting. He also recorded 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and a block.

It was the first Rockets' loss in three games.

Former Strasbourg forward Ishmail Wainwright led Toronto with 20 points and 7 rebounds.

Philadelphia 76ers recorded its second victory in as many Summer League games by beating Atlanta Hawks 96-88.

Philadelphia's second-round pick Filip Petrusev had 8 points (4/7 FGs), 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks in 24 minutes of action.
