Matt Thomas to remain in the NBA and sign with the Bulls

After being waived by the Utah Jazz in August, guard Matt Thomas drew interest from multiple EuroLeague teams, including CSKA Moscow.

However, the 27-year-old will likely remain in the NBA and sign with the Chicago Bulls, Encestando reports.

Thomas spent the last two years in the NBA, where he represented the Toronto Raptors and Utah Jazz.

The 1.96 m American averaged 3.1 points and 1.0 rebound last season.

Thomas last played in Europe in the 2018-19 season, when he represented Valencia Basket and averaged 12.7 points (48% 3PT), 1.7 assists, 1.3 rebounds, and 10.9 PIR in the EuroCup.

The Bulls have also signed a former member of the Brooklyn Nets, Alize Johnson, to a two-year, $3.6 million deal.

Johnson averaged 4.4 points and 4.5 rebounds last season.
