Olivier Hanlan drops 35 as Aris erase 19-point deficit in win against Panathinaikos

Aris Thessaloniki (1-0) upset Panathinaikos OPAP Athens (0-1) 81-71 (15-20, 9-23, 31-14, 26-14) and open the Greek Basket League with a surprise.

PAO dominated in the second quarter and increased their lead from 5 points to 19.

However, Aris were not ready to raise a white flag. Olivier Hanlan sparked a comeback and Aris cut the deficit to just one point. The fourth quarter belonged to them and they got a win over Turkish Airlines EuroLeague club.
