Sam Dekker and Toronto Raptors reportedly go separate ways

The Toronto Raptors are waiving Sam Dekker ahead of his contract guarantee date, per Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.

This season Dekker saw the NBA court in one duel, playing one minute. He did not score.

Last season the American athlete played for Ankara Turk Telekom. In the Turkish league, the 27-year-old averaged 15.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists.

In the FIBA Champion League, he posted 13.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists over 11 games.

The Houston Rockets selected Dekker with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. He played two seasons in Houston, followed by two with the Los Angeles Clippers before dividing the 2018-19 season between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Washington Wizards.

In 201 career NBA games (eight starts), the 2.06-meter forward Dekker has averages of 5.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 0.8 assists.
