Weems-Jaiteh duo helps Virtus edge out JL Bourg in close ending

Virtus Segafredo Bologna (6-3) sneaked past JL Bourg Basket (2-7) 83-82 (22-17, 21-25, 17-11, 23-29) to extend Frenchmen's 7DAYS EuroCup losing stretch to 3 games.

The game went neck-on-neck until the mid-third quarter. At that time Virtus arranged a 13-0 run to gain a 7-point lead (60-53). Their advantage reached double-digits at the start of the last period (65-54), however, JL Bourg responded with a 12-1 push to tie the game at 66.

Virtus ran away once more (78-70), after a 12-4 spurt. The French squad did not raise the white flag as they gradually were cutting the margin between the clubs. Maxime Courby nailed a two-pointer and JL Bourg were only 2 points away (78-80). Then started the free throws marathon which was in favor of Virtus.
