EuroLeague officially announced that after the club's meeting held on January 3, the teams agreed to make some new modifications to this season's bylaws. Those modifications have been approved by the ECA executive board and now they're official.

The two main changes are an extension to the transfer deadline for this season, which has been moved from February 9, 2022, to February 23, 2022, by 18.00 CET.

The other main modification is that a local country will impose restrictions to traveling and/or participation in a game for unvaccinated players, that player will still be counted as available for the minimum number of eight players.

The second change in the rules, in particular, will be very important. For example, the French government ruled that all athletes will have to be vaccinated in order to attend and compete in sporting events in France.
