Anthony Clemmons pours in 20 points to carry Turk Telekom past Partizan

7DAYS EuroCup Round 11 began on Tuesday in the Turkish capital where Turk Telekom Ankara (6-5) took on Partizan NIS Belgrade (8-3) in Group A.

The Turkish powerhouse remained undefeated at home (5-0) this season, overcoming Serbians by 14 points, 85-71 (21-18, 22-14, 17-14, 25-25).

Jared Terrell and Aubrey Dawkins-led Turk Telekom opened the second quarter with a 12-4 spurt to gain a double-digit lead (33-22). They maintained the same 11-point advantage until the first half end (43-32).

The second half also belonged to the hosts. They never let Partizan think about the victory, creating a 19-point lead (65-46) at the start of the fourth period.

Anthony Clemmons guided the path for Turk Telekom, posting 20 points (1/1 2PT, 5/5 3PT, 3/4 FT), 3 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, 2 turnovers, and 32 PIR.

"I just try to bring what I can bring to win the game. I think we have been really desperate for a win like this. I am proud of our guys, we all came out ready to play and approached this game," spoke Clemmons post-game.

JaJuan Johnson and Jared Terrell aided him with 15 points apiece.

Partizan's newcomer Mathias Lessort was the top performer for the losing side, accumulating 14 points (5/7 2PT, 4/16 FT), 8 rebounds, 1 turnover, 11 drawn fouls, and 17 PIR.
