Panathinaikos OPAP Athens team captain Ioannis Papapetrou will have an operation tomorrow, according to head coach Dimitris Priftis.
The 27-year-old continues to suffer from the sinuses problem, which makes it very difficult for him to breathe.
"Ioannis will have surgery tomorrow," Priftis said in the presser following Panathinaikos's 103-83 win over Aris at OAKA.
"The recovery will take some time, which is not determined at the moment, but it may be two or three weeks, maybe a little longer."
It is uncertain whether Papapetrou will make the Greek Cup Final Four. The competition will take place February 18-20.
There is the possibility that Nikos Chougkaz, a loanee from PAO to Ionikos, might get the call-up.
