The Los Angeles Clippers are acquiring swingman Norman Powell and forward Robert Covington from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for guards Eric Bledsoe and Keon Johnson, forward Justise Winslow and a 2025 second-round pick, multiple outlets reported Friday.

The addition of Powell and Covington will aid a Clippers team that has played without Paul George (elbow) since late December and Kawhi Leonard (knee) all season. George is expected back at some points while the status of Leonard remains unclear.

Powell, 28, is averaging 18.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 40 games (39 starts) this season. He is shooting 40.6 percent on 3-pointers in 2021-22.
