Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet has committed to participate in the three-point contest during NBA All-Star Weekend, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

VanVleet heads to Cleveland averaging 39.3% from behind the arc this season with 3.9 three-pointers made per game, the second-most in the league behind only Steph Curry (4.8). He's also taking a career-high 9.9 threes per game, second only to Curry in the league (12.5).

His three-point percentage is the highest in the league of anyone averaging at least eight attempts per game this season.

VanVleet is a first-time All-Star and has helped the Raptors to a 28-23 record, seventh in the Eastern Conference.

He will be joined in Cleveland by Precious Achiuwa and Scottie Barnes who are both participating in the Rising Stars game.
