The Cleveland Cavaliers are acquiring guard Caris LeVert from the Indiana Pacers, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

In return, the Pacers are receiving a package that includes Ricky Rubio's expiring contract and a lottery-protected 2022 first-round pick, a 2022 second-round pick via Houston, and a 2027 second-round pick via Utah, sources tell ESPN.

In addition to LeVert, the Cavs are also getting a 2022 second-round pick via Miami.

Rubio is out for the season after tearing his ACL and is expected to also miss the 2022 EuroBasket next September.

Rubio, 31, was averaging 13.1 points and 6.6 assists over 34 games in his first season with the Cavaliers.

The 11-year NBA veteran has career averages of 11.1 points and 7.6 assists in 665 games (601 starts) in stints with the Minnesota Timberwolves (2011-17, 2020-21), Utah Jazz (2017-19), Phoenix Suns (2019-20) and Cavaliers.

This appears to be the second big trade of the deadline season; the first being Trail Blazers-Clippers a few days ago. The NBA Trade Deadline is this week on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.

LeVert, 27, is averaging 18.7 points, 4.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game in his second season in Indiana since being traded to the Pacers as part of the three-team deal that sent James Harden to Brooklyn Nets.
