Spain remain perfect in their group after beating Ukraine

In Group G of the FIBA 2023 World Cup qualifiers Spain (3-0) won easily against Ukraine (1-2), reaching their third victory in the group. The final score was 88-74 (22-17, 23-12, 28-17, 15-28)

Despite a strong final quarter from Ukraine, Spain were able to maintain a comfortable lead and take the win home. 

Even in the second half, Spain continued their impressive performance, with Lopez-Arostegui and Dani Diez scoring some quality baskets. Ukraine, on the other hand, struggled to make shots from outside, shooting only 26% from deep. 

Spain dominated the first half, led by Quino Colom, who had 11 points in the first 20 minutes of the game. Coach Scariolo's side found a great percentage from deep, shooting 53% from three-point in the first half. At halftime, Ukraine was down by 16 (45-29).

Xabi Lopez-Arostegui was the top scorer for Spain with 15 points (2/6 2PT, 3/3 3PT, 2/2 FT), 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 turnover, and 17 PIR.
