A terrible accident involving Nick Weiler-Babb overshadowed the Bayern Munich-Hamburg Towers game for the German League.

With the score at 22-15 for the guests and almost 8 minutes remaining in the first half, the 26-year-old guard attempted a dunk.

To his bad luck, he slipped off the rim with his hands, landing head-first onto the floor. He laid unconscious and motionless for several minutes until he was carried out on a lounger.

Bayern Munich's rescuers and medics formed a line around him so that he was covered. The game was stopped for almost ten minutes and then resumed.

Bayern's sports director Daniele Baiesi told Magenta Sport that Weiler-Babb is able to move and that he has been transferred to the hospital for medical exams.

As soon as more information on the player's health becomes available, BasketNews will provide the updates.
