Rolands Smits' contract with FC Barcelona will expire at the end of the 2021-22 season.
The 26-year-old Latvian forward signed with Catalans in 2017 (1 + 2 + 2 deal). He spent his first season, 2017-18 campaign, on a loan, representing Montakit Fuenlabrada.
Smits is averaging 3.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.2 PIR over 26 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague duels (15 minutes) this season.
Barca are reportedly eyeing Tornike Shengelia and will try to pen a deal with Virtus Bologna's power forward after the season ended.
Having that in mind, Rolands Smits could face difficulties in getting minutes next season if he stays with the Blaugranas.
