Partizan NIS Belgrade (19-3) stayed atop of the ABA League standings, after a 83-70 (15-20, 24-8, 26-23, 18-19) home win over Igokea (12-10) at the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall.

With this result, Zeljko Obradovic's squad has practically secured at least the second position ahead of the playoffs. On the other hand, Igokea were coming off a three-game winning streak that was snapped in Belgrade.

The team coached by Dragan Bajica started the game better in the Serbian capital and was up by eight (20-12) after nine minutes.

However, the black-and-white played much more aggressively at the beginning of the second quarter and turned things around thanks to a partial score of 24-8.

Partizan's lead came up to 21 points (49-28) and although the guests managed to somehow close the gap to eight (71-63), the Kevin Punter-Zach LeDay duo made sure that their team wouldn't be threatened.

Punter scored a game-high 20 points, while LeDay added 15. Yam Madar had 10 points and 6 assists for the winners, who will be facing Cedevita Olimpija in the ABA League and Slask Wroclaw in the EuroCup next week.

Antabija Walker had 19 points and 5 rebounds, Nikola Tanaskovic 16, Dashaun Stevens 13, and James Robinson 7 points and 8 assists for Igokea.

Partizan NIS Belgrade: Kevin Punter 20 (8/14 FG, /1 FT), Zach LeDay 15 (6/8 FG, 11 REB, 3 AST), Balsa Koprivica 10 (5/6 FG, 4 REB), Alan Smailagic 9.

Igokea: Antabia Waller 19 (5/8 FG, 5/6 FT, 5 REB), Nikola Tanaskovic 16 (7/8 FG, 2/2 FT, 3 REB), DeShawn Stephens 13 (6/9 FG, 6 REB, 3 AST).
