Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton suffered an MCL sprain in his knee during the Game 2 loss against the Chicago Bulls last night, head coach Mike Budenholzer announced post-game.

He also added that Middleton will have an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.

"What I was just told on the exam was an MCL sprain. We'll get an MRI tomorrow."

The whole situation leaves Middleton's status for the remainder of the series up in the air.

The three-time NBA All-Star appeared to sustain a setback on a fall in the fourth quarter and left the game shortly after. He dropped 18 points, including five triples, before leaving the court.

The 30-year-old averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.4 assists over 66 regular-season games this campaign.

"He's always been positive and he knows the type of team that we are and how resilient we are," Jrue Holiday said about Middleton. "We just want him to get back as quickly as possible and be healthy so he can come out here and help us win games."

Mike Budenholzer also had some words to say regarding another team's absentee Bobby Portis.

"He's got a right eye abrasion. We anticipate that he should be fine with some time and that he should be good."

It's only Day 5 of the NBA playoffs, while several key players, involving Scottie Barnes, Devin Booker, and Khris Middleton, have been sidelined.

Moreover, Luka Doncic has yet to debut in the Dallas Mavericks-Utah Jazz series. Though, he is on the verge of returning to the court in Game 3.

For their parts, Suns' Devin Booker suffered a hamstring injury and is likely to miss games 3, 4 in New Orleans, while Raptors' Scottie Barnes picked up an ankle injury and has already skipped games 2, 3 against the Philadelphia 76ers.
