Charlotte Hornets are dismissing head coach James Borrego, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Hornets improved by 10 victories in each of the past three seasons. The squad also reached the Play-In Tournament in consecutive seasons.

However, Charlotte suffered blowout losses in both postseason games, which appears to have negated regular-season win improvement and player development among Miles Bridges, LaMelo Ball, and previously Devonte Graham, via the report.

Prior to his job in Charlotte, he was an assistant for San Antonio Spurs (2003-10, 2015-18), New Orleans Hornets (2010-12), and Orlando Magic (2012-15).

James Borrego is a two-time NBA champion as an assistant coach with the Spurs (2005, 2007).
