Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 sprain of his left MCL and is expected to sit out the entire Eastern Conference second-round series against the Boston Celtics, The Athletic reported on Thursday.

Per the report, the recovery time for a Grade 2 sprain also puts Middleton's availability for a potential conference finals appearance in jeopardy.

Third-seeded Milwaukee begins its second-round series at second-seeded Boston on Sunday afternoon.
