AX Armani Exchange Milan have an agreement in place with Kevin Pangos for next season, as reported by Emiliano Carchia of Sportando and confirmed to BasketNews

The deal is expected to be for two years, another source told BasketNews. With both Malcolm Delaney and Sergio Rodriguez on expiring deals, Milan is looking to bolster their backcourt with high-level additions.

Pangos has also a Slovenian passport, which makes him even more attractive to the Italian squad since they won't need to spend an extra visa on him.

The team coached by Ettore Messina remains keen on adding at least another high-profile player to their backcourt. According to a source, Milan is also taking a look at Shane Larkin's situation, who's gonna be a free agent at the end of the season.

On February 23, Pangos signed with CSKA Moscow until the summer of 2024, but his return to Europe was interrupted by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Prior to the deal in Russia, Pangos appeared in 24 NBA games for Cleveland Cavaliers this season, averaging 1.6 points, 0.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. The point guard had 8 points and 4 assists in his career-high game against the Atlanta Hawks on New Year's Eve.

Pangos has dominated overseas since turning pro in 2015, playing professionally for Gran Canaria (Spain), Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania), FC Barcelona (Spain), and Zenit Saint Petersburg (Russia).

The 29-year-old averaged a career-high 13.5 points and 6.6 assists with Zenit last campaign. He earned All-EuroLeague First Team honors and led his team to its first-ever playoff berth.

Moreover, the 1.85-meter athlete shot 39% from beyond the arc and made the most three-pointers (89) in EuroLeague play, while ranking third in assists per game and 18th in points per contest.

Pangos was an All-EuroLeague Second Team selection and helped Zalgiris Kaunas reach the 2018 EuroLeague Final Four – the first time in 20 years the Lithuanian club had been there. While overseas, Pangos has averaged double figures in three of his five seasons and posted at least 3.2 assists every year.

Following four seasons at Gonzaga University, Pangos went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft. With the Bulldogs, the Ontario, Canada native earned First Team All-WCC all four seasons (2012-2015), appearing in 142 total games (141 starts) with career averages of 12.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 steals in 33.1 minutes.

Additionally, Pangos left Gonzaga as the only player in program history with more than 1,700 points, 500 assists, and 150 steals and remains the Bulldogs' all-time leader in three-pointers made (322).
