Despite the loss in the Lega Basket Serie A playoffs against AX Armani Exchange Milan, veteran point guard Andrea Cinciarini completed a historic season.

The 35-year-old became the first player in the LBA history to close the season in double-double averages in points and assists.

The player from Unahotels Reggio Emilia played 32 games this year, averaging 11.5 points and 10.0 assists, accumulating 368 points and 320 assists.

Cinciarini also made two triple-doubles this season. The first one came against Treviso on 13 February 2022 (12 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists), and the second was against Trieste on 10 April 2022 (23 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists).

After spending six seasons with Italian powerhouse AX Armani Exchange Milan last summer, the former Italian national team point guard decided to go back where his career skyrocketed.

Before moving to Milan, he had already played for Reggio Emilia for three seasons from 2012 to 2015.
