Anadolu Efes star Vasilije Micic won't need surgery on his injured ankle but his timetable for a return remains unclear.
BasketNews sources say that a return for Game 1 of the Turkish league finals it's highly unlikely at the moment but luckily the player didn't suffer any ligament damage.
It's expected that Micic will be able to return on the court during the Turkish League finals against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul.
Though, he is set to miss the first game of the best-of-five series, which is scheduled for June 7, at 19:00 CEST.
Micic sustained the setback in the decisive Game 5 against Galatasaray NEF where Anadolu Efes Istanbul advanced to the ultimate stage of the competition (104-77).
In the mid-third quarter, Micic took a 3-point shot attempt and landed awkwardly on his right ankle, falling down with immediate pain.
The Serbian playmaker left the court with tears on his face and was carried by a wheelchair.
Vasilije Micic is averaging 18.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 18.9 PIR over 16 games on the local front.
