Valencia Basket had one of the highest budgets in the EuroCup and even though the season might not have gone the way the team hoped, the club is looking forward to the next year.
According to Kostas Melayess from Gazzetta.gr, Rolands Smits is expected to leave FC Barcelona and will continue his career in Valencia.
Smits has been the primary substitute for Nikola Mirotic during the last several years in Barcelona. He averaged 4.4 points and 3.1 rebounds for 4.8 PIR in the EuroLeague. Smits' numbers in the Spanish Liga Endesa are similar - 5.2 points, 3 rebounds, and 4.9 PIR.
It is believed that the Catalan club will replace Smits with Oscar da Silva. According to sources, the club is in advanced talks with the ALBA Berlin forward.
Barca have also reportedly signed Jan Vesely after the current club's center Brandon Davies rejected the renewal offer.
