After spending one season with the Utah Jazz, Erdem Can is heading back to Turkey, according to Ugur Ozan Sulak.
Sulak reports that the 41-year-old Can will sign a 2-year contract with Turk Telekom Ankara. The agreement includes an NBA out after the 2022-23 season.
After Quin Snyder's resignation from the head coaching position in Jazz, Can wanted a guaranteed job and accepted Turk Telekom's offer.
Before going to the States, Can worked as Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul's assistant for 9 nine years, from 2012 to 2021.
This season Turk Telekom competed in the 7DAYS EuroCup, finishing 6th in Group A with an 8-8 record. The Turkish club was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana.
In the Turkish League, Turk Telekom finished the regular season in 11th place and didn't make the playoffs.
