The Lakers ended their disappointing season with a win over the Denver Nuggets on April 11. Though, the Purple & Gold played a couple of last games without their main players, after they were eliminated from playoff contention.

It has been an injury-plagued season for the eight-time All-Star. Davis suffered from an MCL sprain and right ankle injury and was forced to miss 42 regular-season games.

The 29-year-old big man also skipped a significant time last campaign with separate calf and knee injuries.

The NBA champion (2020) averaged 23.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 40 duels this season.

In 10 career seasons, Davis has registered 23.8 points and 10.2 rebounds over 604 games (599 starts).

"I think he's the key. We need consistency out of Anthony Davis. We need him to be healthy, we need him to be in a good mental space and we need him to be consistent as possible and back to playing that championship-type basketball," new Lakers head coach Darvin Ham spoke in his introductory press conference.
