Although his playing days with the Orlando Magic are long over, Shaquille O'Neal still remains in close relationship with the club.

Still regarded as probably the best player in franchise history, O'Neal wants to put the team back on top.

"Listen, we still run that franchise. If they wanna sell it to us, DeVos family, we're ready to go right now," the legendary center said on his The Big Podcast. "This message goes out to the DeVos family, if you're ready to sell Orlando Magic, sell it to somebody who's gonna take it to the next level, that's us."

The DeVos family has owned the Magic since 1991. Even though Amway co-founder Richard DeVos passed away in 2018, the family has not shown an interest in selling the franchise.

"D[ennis] Scott and then, D Scott can pick everybody else. Smart people combined with common sense people and people that's been there before, you can't go wrong," O'Neal outlined his plan for the possible purchase.

Shaq played for four seasons for the Magic and became one of the greatest players of all time. Dennis Scott was a member of the team for 7 seasons from 1990 until 1997. According to multiple websites, O'Neal's net worth is estimated at around $400 million.

The team had the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft where the Magic selected Italian-American Paolo Banchero.
