P.J. Tucker is finalizing a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, Shams Charania from The Athletic reports.
According to Charania, Tucker will sign a fully guaranteed 3-year $33.2 million deal. The team reportedly considers Tucker an important piece for a championship push.
Still a capable defender and a reliable three-point shooter, who shot a career-high 41.5% from beyond the arc last season, Tucker would turn 40 at the end of the deal.
In the 2021-22 season, the forward averaged 7.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists for the Heat. A year prior, Tucker became an NBA champion with the Milwaukee Bucks.
