Marek Blazevic heading to Spain

One of the top EuroLeague prospects Marek Blazevic is heading to Obradoiro Monbus, sources told BasketNews.

Blazevic is going to join Obradoiro on a two-year deal.

A 20-year-old center will replace Laurynas Birutis in a starting center position.

Blazevic is coming off a promising EuroLeague season.

He averaged 5.7 points (2FG: 54.2%) and 2.6 rebounds in 12 minutes of the EuroLeague competition.

During a 10-game stretch, Blazevic averaged 7.8 points and 3.1 rebounds.

2.11 m Lithuanian had a EuroLeague career-high 20 points in a tough battle vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv.

He became the youngest Lithuanian to score 20 points in the EuroLeague.

He also became the youngest Zalgiris player in EuroLeague history (20 years, 141 days) to reach a double-double. Blazevic had 10 points, ten rebounds, and four assists in Istanbul over Fenerbahce.

The EuroLeague coaches named Blazevic in the Top 3 of the Rising Star voting next to Rokas Jokubaitis and Victor Wembanyama.

In the Lithuanian league, Blazevic posted 8.7 points (2FG: 62.6%) and 3.8 rebounds in 15 minutes.
