The Charlotte Hornets are expected to pull the qualifying offer for Miles Bridges making him an unrestricted free agent after he was charged for domestic violence by the Los Angeles Police Department, according to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.

Hornets forward Bridges has been charged with felony domestic violence from an incident earlier this week, LAPD has confirmed Friday.

Reportedly the incident occurred on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Bridges turned himself into the LAPD.

Bridges was released on $130,000 bail and has a July 20 court date for the charges.

The Hornets extended Bridges a qualifying offer earlier this week, allowing them a chance to match any offer sheet made by another team. However, now that the big man has been charged with felony domestic violence, the Hornets are expected to withdraw the offer.

1.98-meters tall Bridges has spent all of his four years in the NBA with the Hornets. He was selected number 12 overall in the 2018 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Clippers, who traded his rights to Charlotte on the draft night.

Bridges just had the best season of his career in 2021-22. The 24-year-old averaged 20.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists this past season for the Hornets.
