Josh Okogie moves to Phoenix Suns

Free agent Josh Okogie has agreed to a one-year deal with the Phoenix Suns, via Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The 23-year-old Okogie was the No. 20 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, playing the last four seasons for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He averaged 2.7 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.5 assists over 49 games last campaign.

During 244 NBA career appearances (123 starts), the swingman has registered 6.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.0 steal in 20.6 minutes per contest in addition to shooting 40.3% from the floor and 27.5% from beyond the arc.

Okogie also represented his home country of Nigeria at the Tokyo Olympics last summer. Throughout 3 matches, he accumulated 4.3 points, 1.0 rebound, and 2.0 assists. Nigeria lost all three games in the group stage, falling against Australia, Germany, and Italy.
