Paolo Banchero makes 360 dunk, puts up big numbers in 2OT win over Kings

Following the 17-point performance in his NBA Summer League debut, the 2022 NBA Draft's No. 1 overall pick Paolo Banchero does not stop.

The Italian-American forward registered yet another strong performance with the Orlando Magic (2-0), scoring 23 points in a 94-92 (18-24, 26-18, 27-17, 17-28, 7-5) double-overtime win against the Sacramento Kings (0-1). Banchero added 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks over 33 playing minutes.

Banchero mixed in a number of his signature post moves but had some trouble finishing around the rim while converting 6 two-point shots in 14 tries. He went 11-of-15 from the free-throw line.

The 19-year-old Duke product also threw down a 360 jam in transition and made the game-saving rejection.

On the other side, the Kings were led by Portuguese Neemias Queta, who collected 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. The fourth overall pick Keegan Murray aided the European with 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists.

On deck for Sacramento is a matchup with the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. As for Orlando, they return to action on Monday against the Oklahoma City Thunder with Chet Holmgren in front.
