Lithuania makes change in its preliminary roster for EuroBasket 2022

A change has been made in the Lithuanian national team roster. Gediminas Orelikas will be replaced by Donatas Tarolis.

Orelikas will not join the national team due to minor health problems.

The 2.02-meters tall forward Tarolis, the previous season played for Buducnost VOLI Podgorica and averaged 6.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game in the ABA league.

Lithuania will begin its preparation for EuroBasket on July 25, except for Domantas Sabonis and Jonas Valanciunas, who will join the team on August 6 due to FIBA and NBA agreement rules.

Lithuania will play 7 friendly games against Estonia (August 4 and 7), Finland (August 10 and 11), Spain (August 16 and 18), and the Netherlands (August 19). 

Lithuania will also face Hungary (August 24) and Montenegro (August 27) in the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers Second Round.
