Virtus Segafredo Bologna and Kevin Hervey go separate ways on a mutual agreement, per the official announcement. The player had one year left on his contract.
The 26-year-old big man did not meet Virtus' expectations after his stellar debut EuroCup campaign with Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar.
A right knee meniscus tear contributed to Hervey's performance on the court and missing a significant amount of time.

The 2.07-meter big man averaged 9.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 10.7 PIR over 14 EuroCup games last season.
After four years in the NCAA with the Texas-Arlington Mavericks, Hervey spent two seasons with the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA G League. He also played in 10 games with the Oklahoma City Thunder and averaged 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds.
The 57th pick of the 2018 NBA Draft played for Lokomotiv prior to his time in Bologna and was third among the best EuroCup rebounders in 2020-21.
Virtus Bologna officially announced the addition of NBAer Semi Ojeleye, who will replace Hervey in the frontcourt.
