After the passing away of the legend himself, the Nike Kobe Bryant shoe line is set to have its face for the next several years.

According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, the footwear behemoth has signed a four-year deal with Chicago Bulls' DeMar DeRozan to represent the famous brand.

DeRozan, a Los Angeles area native, was a friend of Bryant's and wore Kobe sneakers throughout his high school and college career.

After Kobe retired in 2016, DeRozan became the leading face of the brand, often debuting the latest models while at the same time using older editions of the shoe line he'd collected over the years.

After the player's passing, Nike and the Bryant family were not able to reach a deal for over a year. Ultimately, the contract was renewed this March, with 100% of the net proceeds set to go to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.
