Ercan Osmani replaces Omer Yurtseven in Turkey's preliminary roster

Turkish Basketball Federation announced that Ercan Osmani was included in the candidate list for the Turkish national team.

Osmani's Turkish passport status was an ongoing process, as he was born in Albania. Recently FIBA gave the green light for him to play for the Turkish NT.

The Turkish NT was looking for a replacement after the Miami Heat center Omer Yurtseven refused to play in the upcoming EuroBasket.

Osmani signed with Darussafaka Istanbul this summer, last season he played Besiktas and was developed in Bandirma's academy. Due to the Bandirma basketball club ending its activities in 2020, Osmani continued his career with Besiktas. 

The 24-year-old last season in the BSL averaged 9.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1 assist per game.
