Sacramento Kings add two-time NBA champ Quinn Cook

The Sacramento Kings have agreed to sign NBA veteran Quinn Cook to a one-year contract, according to Marc J. Spears of ESPN.

Cook is competing for a third-point guard spot in Sacramento.

The two-time NBA champion split time between Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar and the G League Stockton Kings last season.

The 29-year-old Cook averaged 5.3 points and 1.3 assists throughout three EuroCup games last campaign and posted 23.5 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.9 rebounds in G League. 

He last played in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2020-21 season.

In total, Cook represented five NBA teams since joining the league in 2016. He has been a member of the Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, and the aforementioned Cavs.

The American point guard won the 2018 NBA title with the Warriors and the 2020 championship with the Lakers.

He holds NBA career averages of 6.4 points (40.8% 3PT), 1.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists over 188 duels.
