Georgios Dimitropoulos, a great agent and a man who loved basketball like few others, passed away at the age of 50, after a long battle with cancer, as Haris Stavrou of sport24.gr has reported.

Among others, Dimitropoulos managed the careers of great Greek players such as Theodoros Papaloukas, Nikos Zisis, and Georgios Printezis. He studied at the Athens University of Economics and spoke English, Italian, French, and German.

Dimitropoulos was the founder of the Octagon Europe agency, one of the largest representation agencies in European basketball, but also the one who, together with Georgios Panou, led Giannis Antetokounmpo from A2 to the NBA.
