Finland (1-1) recovered after the painful overtime loss against Israel in their first game of EuroBasket 2022, this time beating Poland (1-1) comfortably, 89-59 (26-16, 18-14, 20-14, 25-15).

Lauri Markkanen was the main man on the court again for Finland. Yesterday he scored 33 points, and he started today's game with the same kind of energy, guiding Finland to an early 10-point lead (18-8).

From that point of the match, Finland held game reins in their hands and didn't let Poland think about the victory.

Utah Jazz's big man, Lauri Markkanen, finished the game with 17 points (3/4 2PT, 1/4 3PT, 8/8 FT), 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 19 EFF.

Sharpshooter Sasu Salin had 18 points (0/1 2PT, 6/10 3PT), 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, and 22 EFF.

Finland: Sasu Salin 18 (6 REB), Lauri Markkanen 17 (5 REB, 4 AST), Elias Valtonen 12 (5 REB).

Poland: Mateusz Ponitka 8 (5 AST), Michal Sokolowski 8.
