Italy (3-2) finished the EuroBasket group phase on a high note by beating Great Britain (0-5), 90-56 (29-20, 18-17, 20-17, 23-2).

This game was a formality for both squads, as Great Britain didn't have any chances to advance to the Round of 16.

Meanwhile, Italy was locked up in the fourth Group C place before the match and is now set to meet Serbia in Berlin.

The Italy-Great Britain match started with a sorrowful tone. Both national teams took a minute of silence, honoring Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away earlier today.

Simone Fontecchio was the best Italian on the floor, recording 18 points (2/3 2PT, 3/4 3PT, 5/5 FT), 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 26 EFF.

Nicolo Melli, who played his 100th game with Italy's jersey, posted 11 points (3/8 2PT, 1/1 3PT, 2/4 FT), 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 11 EFF.

Italy: Simone Fontecchio 18, Luigi Datome 13, Nicolo Melli 11, Giampaolo Ricci 10 (8 REB).

Great Britain: Myles Hesson 18 (6 REB), Carl Wheatle 12 (7 REB).
