Gianmarco Pozzecco hugged his players before he left the court for the 2nd technical foul that his bench received.
With the Serbians leading the way, 63-57, in the third quarter of the EuroBasket Round of 16 game against Italy, coach Gianmarco Pozzecco was forced to leave the game.
The 49-year-old Italian specialist hugged his players and gave high-fives to his opponents with tears in his eyes before he left the floor for the second technical foul that his bench received.
Pozzecco also had technical in the first minutes of the game. All technical fouls summed up and the head coach no longer could navigate his team.

Seemed that a heartwarming moment ignited Italy which drained three straight three-pointers in a row to retake the lead (66-63). That was not the end as Italy went on a huge 16-2 push at the start of the fourth quarter to eventually eliminate Nikola Jokic's Serbia from EuroBasket 2022.
