Jahm Najafi, who possesses the second-largest stake in the Phoenix Suns, does not want to see Suns and Phoenix Mercury owner Robert Sarver back in his role and called for Sarver's resignation.

"I am calling for the resignation of Robert Sarver," Jahm Najafi said in a statement, per ESPN's Baxter Holmes.

On Tuesday NBA announced suspending Sarver for one year and fined him $10 million after an independent investigation concluded revealing racist and sexist behaviors.

"While I have no interest in becoming the managing partner, I will work tirelessly to ensure the next team steward treats all stakeholders with dignity, professionalism, and respect," Najafi continued.

Many have voiced concerns after the NBA decision to suspend Sarver for 1 year that it was not enough.

LeBron James and Chris Paul were among those that suggested that the NBA's punishment was not enough.

First time Sarver's misconduct has surfaced back in November 2021, when he faced allegations of racism and misogyny.

The law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, initiated by the NBA performed an investigation that summarized the results in a 43-page report, which found racist and sexist misconduct in the workplace.
