Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic named as top 3 players by ESPN

Giannis Antetokounmpo topped ESPN's best NBA player for the 2022-2023 season list. Nikola Jokic came in second, while another European superstar, Luka Doncic was voted as the third best player in the league.

ESPN released their best NBA players ranking for the 2022-23 season. The top 3 spots are all taken by the European players.

Voted as the best player for the upcoming season is the Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was voted as the second best a year ago.

Number two in the ranking is the reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, who was placed 6th a year ago, while the top 3 is completed by another European player the Slovenian phenom Luka Doncic.

The US network has been revealing its top 100 list in pieces. On Thursday it placed Kevin Durant at the number 8 and LeBron James at the number 6, prompting plenty of discussions.

2022 NBA champion and the Finals MVP, Stephen Curry was placed 5th, just like a year before.

Joel Embiid was placed in 4th place, gaining 3 positions compared to the last season ranking's, where he was placed 7th.
