Spurs are hiring former WNBA star Candice Dupree as a player development coach after she was part of the San Antonio coaching staff at the 2022 NBA Summer League.
San Antonio Spurs announced that the club is adding former WNBA star Candice Dupree to a coaching staff. She will take place as a player development coach in the organization.
Dupree, 38, was a seven-time All-Star and a 2014 league champion with the Phoenix Mercury during a 16-year career with five teams (2006-21).
Dupree suited up for Chicago, Indiana, Seattle, and Atlanta as well. She currently stands fifth in WNBA history in career points scored (6,895).
The Tampa, Florida native has also played professionally in Poland, Slovakia, Russia, China, the Czech Republic, and Hungary.
Dupree was part of the coaching staff for the Spurs at the 2022 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
